The Arête Woman Conference is a two-day gathering in Washington, DC for women building careers and businesses. Keynotes, workshops and panels sit inside a sister-circle feel, under the theme The Power Within.
The organisers needed one place where women could learn the story, meet the speakers and the team, check the details and register, on mobile, tablet or desktop.
An inaugural conference has no track record to point to. A woman deciding whether to give two days and travel to Washington wants three answers fast: who is speaking, who is organising, and whether it is worth her time.
The site had to answer all three before it asked for a registration.

Warm espresso, rust and gold, with light uppercase headlines and plenty of space. Six speakers get alternating full-width cards with a portrait, a role and a full bio, so no one reads like a footnote. Eight organisers get a team page of their own. The ARÊTE acrostic (Advocate, Restore, Empower, Transform, Engage) turns the brand name into the journey of the two days.
The full interface story is in the UI case study.
Fully responsive on mobile, tablet and desktop. On phones, a bottom tab bar keeps Home, About, Speakers and Register one thumb away on every page. A “Secure your spot” band with a live countdown closes each page, and an FAQ page answers the questions that usually land in the inbox.
One home for the whole conference. Theme, dates and venue sit on the first screen. The speakers, the organisers and the agenda build trust before the ask, and registration is never more than a tap away.

A complete conference home, live ahead of the inaugural edition: six speakers, eight organisers, the agenda and registration in one place, ready for women to move from curiosity to a booked seat.
